RENU hearings taking place at the capitol today and tomorrow 15 Mar 17

The New Ulm local option sales tax extension is on the agenda today for the Minnesota House Property Tax and local Government Finance Division Committee at the state capitol. The meeting is expected to begin at 8:15 a.m. with a break at 10 a.m. and reconvene in the evening to finish the agenda. City officials anticipate the bill being heard sometime in the morning before the 10 a.m. break. Bob Skillings has agreed to testify at the hearing today (Wednesday). On Thursday a similar bill will be heard before the Senate Committee on Taxes. Toby Freier has agreed to testify at Thursday’s hearing.
