Name of woman killed in I-90 crash has been released 08 Mar 17

A man with alcohol in his system was driving the wrong way on Interstate 90 Tuesday night and killed a 21-year-old woman of Jackson. Hannah Elizabeth Stoesz, formerly of Mountain Lake, was a passenger in a Ford Escape driven by 19-year-old Tyler James Schoborg of Westbrook. The Ford Escape was hit head-on when a Honda CR-V driven by 48-year-old Mark Jason Wendland of Baltic, South Dakota was driving west in the eastbound lanes of I-90 in Fraser Township, Martin County, just before 8 p.m. Tuesday night. Stoesz was pronounced dead at the scene. Schoborg is hospitalized in St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Wendlund, the wrong-way driver of the Honda CR-V, received non-life threatening injuries. The drivers of two semis who came upon the crash scene and ended up in the ditch to avoid the crash received no apparent injuries. Stoesz is a 2013 graduate of Mountain Lake Public High school and a 2016 graduate of Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Jackson. She was living in Jackson at the time of the crash and working as a cosmetologist.
