Le Sueur Council looking to set residency restrictions on sex offenders 16 Mar 17

The Le Sueur City Council was asked to consider residency restriction for high-risk sex offenders at Monday’s meeting. Police Chief Bruce Kelly presented the proposed ordinance that would read that a level 3 offender would not be able to take up residency in the city within 1,000 feet of any school, park, library, community center, licensed childcare center, place of worship, vulnerable adult housing or any other place where children are known to congregate. The council will host a public hearing on the ordinance April 10th.
