Hell’s Kitchen holds fundraiser for La Plaza Fiesta 17 Mar 17

Madelia’s La Plaza Fiesta received a little help Wednesday from a popular Twin Cities restaurant and a local state senator. Hell’s Kitchen in Minneapolis hosted the La Plaza staff to cook dishes for them as a fundraiser to offset costs of a fire over a year ago that put the restaurant out of business for some time. More than 700 people dined at the restaurant Wednesday with 10 percent of Hell’s Kitchen’s proceeds going to La Plaza Fiesta. At the end of the day a grand total of over $1800 was donated to the local restaurant. Perhaps the biggest push for the local restaurant came from State Senator Julie Rosen of Vernon Center who ordered 250 taquitos and more than 100 wings to feed her colleagues.
