Former Gibbon man pleads guilty to murder 15 Mar 17

A former Gibbon resident pleaded guilty to killing a Fargo, North Dakota woman May 1st, 2016. Twenty-three-year-old Landon Lauwagie entered the guilty plea in Cass County District Court to felony murder. According to the criminal complaint, Lauwagie killed 40-year-old Cory Terlecky by strangling her. Terlecky’s blood was found on Lauwagie’s shirt and his DNA was discovered under her fingernails. Terlecky’s car was found at a construction site near Henderson on May 15th. Lauwagie was arrested May 16th on a probation violation in an unrelated case. He was named as a person of interest early in the investigation. Sentencing is set for May 15th.
