Fairfax junior working toward Eagle Scout rank 30 Mar 17

A Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop junior and Fairfax resident is working toward receiving an Eagle Scout rank. Jonathan Wiechmann based his project on personal experience. A couple of years ago his family home flooded. It wasn’t a lot of water, but enough to make a mess. Jonathan wanted his project to help other’s in a similar situation so he began making flood relief buckets. The 5-gallon buckets are filled with laundry detergent, household cleaner, dish soap, air freshener, insect repellent, cleaning wipes and gloves. Assembled baskets will be donated to the United Methodist Committee on Relief and then distributed throughout the United States wherever flooding or other natural disasters have occurred.
