Two Sibley County residents charged with Welfare Fraud 16 Feb 17

Two women from Sibley County were charged with welfare fraud on Wednesday. Fifty-five-year-old Veronica Collins of Gibbon was charged with 5 felony and one misdemeanor count of wrongfully obtaining assistance after she failed to report she had gotten married. She received $8,000 in government funds she was not entitled too. Thirty-two-year-old Esmeralda Farias of Gaylord was charged with three felony,  one gross misdemeanor and one misdemeanor count for failing to report she was collecting property rent as income and the father of some of her children was living with her. She received $6,000 in assistance she was not entitled too.
