Priest on leave for allegations of personal misconduct 13 Feb 17

The New Ulm Diocese announced Saturday that one of its priests has been placed on leave during an investigation of allegations of inappropriate personal conduct. Monsignor Douglas Grams, Vicar General of the Diocese of New Ulm and the Bishop’s Delegate for Matter’s Pertaining to Sexual Misconducted released a statement that was read at Saturday and Sunday Masses. The statement says in part that the suspension of Father Sam Wagner follows a report made to the New Ulm Police Department about allegations of when Wagner was assigned to the Cathedral parish in New Ulm. Wagner was assigned in July to serve as parochial vicar in the Divine Mercy Area Faith Community, St. Mary’s in Sleepy Eye, Japanese Martyrs in Leavenworth, St.  Michaels in Morgan and St. Paul’s in Comfrey.
