Illegal immigrants charged with identity fraud 16 Feb 17

Two people who are living and working in the country illegally were recently charged with identity theft. A Texas woman reported that she was denied assistance because records show she was working at Butterfield Foods. An investigation resulted in 22-year-old Maria Rosa Hernandez of Mountain Lake being charged in Watonwan County Court Tuesday with identity theft and giving a false name to police. Another investigation took place when a Texas inmate reported someone was using his identity to work at Christensen Farms in Sleepy Eye. Twenty-four-year-old Wilmer Anselmo Garcia Ambrocio was charged Tuesday in Brown County District Court with identity theft, forgery and giving a false name to police.
