Old Farmer’s Almanac releases 225th publication 30 Aug 16

The Old Farmer’s Almanac was released recently with predictions about the upcoming winter. Editor Tim Clark says the forecast for this winter includes below normal temperatures and above normal snow-fall amounts. In the 225 tradition of the Old Farmer’s Almanac the claim is that the weather forecasts are 80 percent accurate. However, Clark admits to only a 55 percent accuracy rate last winter. He blames El Nino for the not only the lack of accuracy, but also the warmer than average winter. This year, Clark says,m El Nino does not appear to be on the scene.
