Gustavus College named a Fair Trade College 17 Dec 15

Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter was recently recognized for its commitment to fair trade practices. Fair Trade Campaigns recently named Gustavus as a Fair Trade College, making it the first college in Minnesota to be named a Fair Trade school. Fair Trade means to buy products that are either produced locally or globally where workers are paid decent wages and goods were produced in an ethical, responsible way. Gustavus has adopted fair trade practices since 1999. Gustavus joins the city of Mankato and Loyola Catholic Schools as organizations that have earned fair trade designations.
