New Ulm hosting annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner 26 Nov 15

The 28th annual New Ulm Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at St. Mary’s Church located at 417 Minnesota Street. Co-Chair Les Schultz says serving will take place from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. To feed and expected crowd of 1100 people it takes 95 dozen rolls, 36-twenty-five pound turkeys, 40 bags of carrots, 6 gallons of corn, 28 gallons of milk, 380 pounds of potatoes and 90 pounds of AMPI salted butter. The traditional Thanksgiving meal is made entirely by scratch. Everyone is welcome and no reservations are needed. Cash donations are appreciated and needed to offset the costs for this event.
