Paynesville man charged after fatal Litchfield Crash 28 Aug 15

A Paynesville man has been charged with two felony counts of vehicular homicide in the deaths of two teenagers in a motor vehicle crash Tuesday night near Litchfield. Twenty-seven-year-old Benjamin Tate made his first appearance Thursday in Meeker County District Court. In addition to the vehicular counts, he is charged with criminal vehicular operation and second-degree driving while impaired. His next court apperance is set for September 24th. Nineteen-year-old Travis Monson and 16-year-old Zachary Rohbeck, both of Watkins died in the crash. Another passenger in the car, 16-year-old Kathleen Prestidge was injured and taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
