Wolves End Season With Worst Record, Lottery Set 16 Apr 15

Russell Westbrook and Dion Waiters combined for 70 points as the Thunder trounced the Timberwolves 138-113 in the season finale at the Target Center.  Kevin Martin netted 29 points and Andrew Wiggins had 23 for the Wolves, who secured the best odds in the NBA Draft Lottery after finishing a league-worst 16-and-66.  Zach LaVine had 19 points, 13 assists and five boards in defeat.

The odds for the NBA lottery have been set.  The ping pong balls decide the order of the 2015 NBA Draft for all of the non-playoff teams.  The Minnesota Timberwolves are rewarded with a 25-percent chance at the top pick and 64.3% chance to stay in the top three with the league’s worst record.  Minnesota finished the season 16-and-66.  The Wolves are followed by the New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic to round out the top five.  The Timberwolves and Knicks are the only two teams guaranteed to have top five picks.
