Oak Hills Living Center unveiled their new transport van Monday that was purchased with donations. Oak Hills held a donor appreciation event Monday as well to celebrate the acquisition of the van. The target fund-raising goal of $35,000 was exceeded with a total $37,642 raised. The van enables volunteers and staff from Oak Hills to transport residents to off-campus outings. It can also be used to transport a resident who went to the emergency room by ambulance to return to the center. Donations came from the Oak Hills Memorial Foundation, Oak Hills Auxilary, New Ulm Medical Center’s Foundation for gifting, Kiwanis Club, Rotary, Sertoma and Lions Club.
