KC Hammers Twins 18 Aug 14

 The Royals used a seven-run second inning to take down the Twins 12-6 at Target Field.  Tommy Milone got rocked for six earned runs in less than two innings to fall to 6-and-4 for Minnesota, which has lost two of three to Kansas City.  Kennys Vargas and Oswaldo Arcia [[ oz-WALL-doe ARE-see-uh ]] blasted two-run home runs and Joe Mauer left the yard in the loss. 

The Twins and Royals wrap up their four-game series tonight at Target Field.  Trevor May gets the start for Minnesota.  He is 0-and-1 with a 12.46 ERA in two games including one start.  KC will counter with left-hander Jason Vargas, who is 9-and-5 with a 3.27 ERA.
