The Mankato area is gearing up for the 49th Vikings training camp this week at MSU. Vikings players report to camp on the Mankato campus Thursday and the first practice is Friday morning. More than 69,000 fans attended training camp last year. All practices are free and open to the public and the Vikings Village and AutoGraph Zone are back for 2014. This is the first training camp under first-year Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer. Visit Mankato says the three-week event generates about $5-million for the local economy.
