Hector Noesi had his second straight strong start helping the White Sox defeat the Twins, 5-2, in the opener of a four-game series at Target Field. Danny Santana hit a two-run homer. It was one of only three hits for the Twins, who have dropped five of seven. Phil Hughes took the loss. He left in the fourth inning after taking a ball of his right ankle. X-rays revealed no broken bones. The Twins continue their four-game series with the White Sox tonight at Target Field. Kevin Correia takes the mound for Minnesota. Kendrys [[ KEN-drees ]] Morales is headed back to Seattle. The Twins have traded the 31-year-old designated hitter to the Mariners for reliever Stephen Pryor. Morales signed with Minnesota as a free agent in June after rejecting Seattle’s 14.1-million-dollar qualifying offer in November. He hit just .234 with one homer and 18 RBI in 39 games this season with the Twins.
