Sleepy Eye E-Cigarette Discussion 11 Jul 14

The Sleepy Eye City Council discussed E-cigarette regulations for the community this week, and voiced interest in modifying the city’s tobacco ordinance to include the electronic nicotine-delivery devices. Sleepy Eye currently has a moratorium on the use of e-cigarettes in public buildings, and the issue will be discussed again in the near future. Recent new laws enacted by the Minnesota Legislature no longer allow the devices in any building owned or operated by the state or city, as well as county, township, school or other political subdivision building, mall kiosks, and any facilities licensed by the Commissioner of Human Services or Public Health.
