Red, White and Blue Spinach Salad

1/4 cup sugar

2 T red or white wine vinegar

1-1/2 Tbsp olive oil

1-1/2 tsp sesame seeds, toasted

3/4 tsp poppy seeds

1/4 tsp sweet paprika

1/4 tsp salt

6 cups baby spinach

1 cup halved strawberries

1 cup blueberries

2 tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted

3oz goat cheese, crumbled

Combine the first seven ingredients in a jar; cover dressing tightly and shake vigorously. Combine the spinach, strawberry halves and blueberries in a large bowl and toss gently. Pour the dressing over the spinach mixture, tossing gently to coat. Spoon 1 cup salad onto each of 6 plates and top with the almonds and crumbled goat cheese to serve.
