Rays Sweep Twins 21 Jul 14

James Loney went 2-for-4 with two RBI as the Rays got past the Twins 5-3 at Target Field to complete a three-game sweep.  Kevin Correia [[ core-AY-uh ]] allowed four runs in as many innings, falling to 5-and-12 for Minnesota.  Josh Willingham knocked in two for the Twins, who have lost four of six.  Kris Johnson will toe the rubber tonight against the Indians.  Coverage begins at 6:40pm on 860 AM KNUJ and SAM 107.3.

Joe Mauer took grounders on his knees before Saturday’s game against Tampa Bay.  The first baseman has been on the disabled list since July 2nd with a strained right oblique.  Manager Ron Gardenhire says Mauer is not ready to swing and his time table for a return is still unknown.  Mauer is hitting .271 with 28 RBI in 76 games.
