Peppermint Ice Cream Dessert

1-1/2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs

2/3 cup butter

2 sq. unsweetened chocolate

2 eggs, separated

2 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup nuts

1 gallon peppermint ice cream, softened

Cover bottom of 9×13 inch pan with 1 cup crumbs. Melt butter and chocolate; beat egg yolks and add sugar, chocolate and vanilla. Beat egg whites and blend into mixture with the nuts. Spread over crumbs. Spread soft ice cream and sprinkle with crumbs.
