Eagle Lake Child Porn Guilty Plea 18 Jul 14

A 30-year-old Eagle Lake man pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing and disseminating child pornography in court this week. The plea deal means that that 8 other counts against Marc Gregory Leiferman will be dropped. Leiferman was arrested in 2011 after allegedly sending text messages related to sexual activities involving pedophilia and incest to an Eagle Lake resident. Later that year a California resident reported receiving child pornography pictures from Leiferman as well. A search of his home uncovered over 3,000 images and more than 50 videos related to child pornography, and Leiferman later admitted to downloading such images and videos for the past three years. His sentencing is set for September 25th, and he will likely only receive time on probation due to lack of past criminal activity.
