Teen Injured In Highway 169 Crash 02 Jun 14

One person was injured in a 3-vehicle crash on Highway 169 in Le Sueur County Saturday evening. A Ford Contour driven by 19-year-old Alexus Smiley of Minneapolis was heading northbound on 169 at around 7:15pm when Smiley lost control and struck a Dodge Ram that was parked on the shoulder of the highway. That truck then hit a Dodge Neon that was also on the shoulder. It was reportedly raining at the time of the crash. Smiley was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee with non life-threatening injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt. The other drivers, 55-year-old Ronald Buchtel of Henderson and 39-year-old Sara Miller of Shakopee were not injured.
