St. Peter Approves Project Solace 12 Jun 14

The St. Peter City Council has approved a new initiative called “Project Solace.” The proposal involves constructing a $5.5-million treatment facility for single mothers in the drug court program as an alternative to prison time. The aim is to rehabilitate women and to reduce relapse percentages. The proposed facility is planned for the business district on North Sunrise Drive in St. Peter. The city council will now submit funding requests, and once the funding is approved, the city will have to approve the scope of the building, its design, and the security needs.
