Sleepy Eye Color Run Funds Raised 13 Jun 14

The organizers of the “5K Rainbow Color Run” that took place in Sleepy Eye this past weekend have announced that the event raised over $30,000, which will be used towards scholarships at both Sleepy Eye high schools as well as Martin County West. The Rainbow Color Run was held in remembrance of Kaylie Hogue, who passed away unexpectedly of an epileptic seizure, and Tyler Hadley, who was killed in a car accident. Organizers say they had the maximum number of runners registered for the 5K, and that around 3,000 people attended the celebration after the run around Sleepy Eye Lake. The planning for next year’s Rainbow Color Run is already underway.
