The New Ulm Public Library will have a new director as of Monday. The Library Board on Thursday unanimously approved the appointment of Kris Wiley to the position of director. She has served as the assistant library director for 5 years. Wiley came to New Ulm in 2009 after working for a regional library system in Georgia. She earned her degree in library and information science from the University of Iowa. Wiley replaces Library Director Larry Hlavsa, who recently retired after several years in New Ulm.
