Mankato Man Tries To Kill Brother 17 Jun 14

An 18-year-old Mankato man is in custody after allegedly walking into a convenience store and telling a cashier that he had attempted to kill his brother. Colby Lee Tolzmann was arrested at the Kwik Trip store where he made that alleged statement, and he has been charged with 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. His brother told police that he had caught Tolzmann with his iPod, so he took his “Yu-Gi-Oh” trading cards. An argument then ensued which led to Tolzmann getting a knife and threatening to kill his brother. Tolzmann then fled the scene and went to the Kwik Trip. He reportedly told investigators that he didn’t actually kill his brother “because he didn’t want to get the death penalty.”
