The wife of a former MSU-Mankato football player who was critically injured in a beating has given birth to the couple’s second daughter. Molly Kolstad gave birth to the girl on Wednesday at the Mankato Mayo Hospital, and both mother and daughter are reportedly doing well. Isaac Kolstad is in critical condition at the same hospital. He was hurt May 11th in a confrontation in downtown Mankato that included former Minnesota Gophers quarterback Philip Nelson. Isaac Kolstad was able to respond to verbal commands this week, but he has also been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis, raising concern about the possibility of dangerous blood clotting.
