Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation say they plan on opening Highway 169 from St. Peter to Le Sueur around 3 pm today (Thursday). The highway has been closed since June 22 because of flooding. Highway 169 from Mankato to St. Peter opened Tuesday. However, motorists can expect lane restirctions on 169 from St. Peter to Le Sueur that were in place prior to the flooding for construction purposes. Single lane closures are needed to complete the crossovers and bypasses for construction on the southbound lanes. Highways in the Mankato, St. Peter and Gaylord areas are starting to reopen. However these highways remain closed – 19 to 169 near Henderson, 93 to 169 Henderson, Highway 93 from 169 to Le Sueur and Highway 99 East at St. Peter near the Minnesota River Bridge.
