Gaylord Will Be Getting A K9 Cop 06 Jun 14

The Gaylord Police Department will soon have a new member – a German Shepherd named “Caesar.” Gaylord Police Chief Tony Padilla recently offered the city the services of his dog Caesar, who has been through the K9 Patrol School and K9 Narcotics School programs. The Gaylord City Council unanimously approved the proposal to add Caesar to the city’s police force during its recent meeting. The estimated start-up cost to get Caesar on patrol is around $1,300 for preparing a squad car for the canine. The annual costs will then be around $780.
