The several inches of rain that has fallen across much of Minnesota in recent days has led to rising rivers and flood warnings. The Cottonwood River at New Ulm is now under a flood warning through Friday afternoon, with minor flooding forecast. It’s expected to continue rising through Wednesday morning, and some low-lying areas and roads along the river may be impacted by the flooding. The Minnesota River at Montevideo is under a flood warning until further notice as well, and the flood warning for the Redwood River at Redwood Falls remains in effect until Saturday morning. The Redwood River has now fallen slightly below flood stage, but the latest round of rain is expected to bring river levels back above flood stage by later in the week. Remember to never attempt to drive a car through a flooded area.
