The Timberwolves stayed put and will pick 13th in next month’s NBA Draft. Cleveland jumped into the top spot during last night’s lottery despite having the ninth-best odds. Kansas’ Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid, Duke’s Jabari Parker, Kentucky’s Julius Randle and Australia’s Dante Exum are among the top prospects.
Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor says he has no intentions of trading star forward Kevin Love. Taylor tells the “Pioneer Press” he won’t rule out a deal, but says that’s “not our plan.” Love hasn’t demanded a trade but multiple sources report he made it clear he intends on becoming an unrestricted free agent after next season and has no interest in staying in Minnesota.
