A 78-year-old woman from Iowa was injured in a collision with a semi-truck on Highway 15 near Madelia Wednesday afternoon. Agnes Hartman of Crystal Lake, Iowa was driving a GMC Terrain SUV southbound on 15 when she reportedly crossed the centerline and sideswiped a northbound Peterbilt semi driven by 45-year-old Andrew Horton of Memphis, Nebraska. Hartman’s SUV then rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its roof, and she was airlifted to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. She was wearing a seatbelt, and her injuries are said to be non life-threatening. Horton was not injured.
A Renville man was injured in a rollover accident on Highway 7 in Chippewa County Wednesday evening. It happened at just after 6:30pm about 2 miles east of Clara City. 44-year-old Joel Folkerts was driving a Ford Super Duty pickup truck eastbound on 7 when he ran off the road and the truck rolled into the ditch. Folkerts was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar with non life-threatening injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt. The truck was totaled.
