Twins Win In 10th 16 May 14

 Minnesota centerfielder Aaron Hicks singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Twins outlasted the Boston Red Sox 4-3 at Target Field yesterday.  Chris Parmelee hit a two-run homer for Minnesota, which blew an early 3-0 lead before pulling out the win.  Brian Duensing (DUNN-sing) got credit for the win after Glen Perkins blew the save in the ninth.  Andrew Miller took the loss for Boston, which dropped two-of-three in the series.  Will Middlebrooks’ two-run single in the ninth knotted the game at three for Boston to set up extra innings.  Mike Carp had a run-scoring, infield single for the Red Sox in the fourth.  The win secured the second consecutive series win for the Twins, who took two-of-three from Boston and two-of-three from Detroit in the previous series.  Minnesota entertains Seattle in a three-game series at Target Field beginning tonight.
