An Arlington woman facing multiple charges following the accidental drowning of her infant son last year pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree manslaughter in court on Thursday and was sentenced to 48-months in prison. 20-year-old Christina DeLeon had left her 8-month-old son unattended in a bathtub last November while caring for her 18-month-old son, and the infant drowned. Her trial had been scheduled to start later this month, but in exchange for the manslaughter plea charges of child neglect, storing methamphetmine in the presence of a child, and wrongfully obtaining public assistance will be dismissed. The last charge came after DeLeon purchased baby formula with a WIC voucher for the deceased infant. She will receive credit for the 149 days she has served in jail since her arrest, and will likely serve 32 months in prison and 16 months on supervised release.
