A 26-year-old St. James man is facing five drug felony charges in Watonwan County Court. Rafael Gandarilla was the focus of a 2-month long investigation by the St. James Police Department after numerous reports of him selling drugs out his apartment were received. Gandarilla was arrested earlier this week after allegedly receiving a package containing half an ounce of cocaine. Authorities confiscated the package and searched Gandarilla’s home, where they say they also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Gandarilla reportedly told police that he was working as a “mule” and that the drugs belonged to someone else.
