The Springfield Microtel Inn & Suites is being sold to a South Dakota couple. The Springfield Lodging LLC Board of Governors has announced that the sale of the 30-unit motel is pending to Neeta and Mike Chauhari of Sisseton. They reportedly own and operate motels in South Dakota, North Dakota and Wyoming. The Springfield Microtel is being sold to the couple because of the need to borrow money to meet operating expenses and not being able to repay the loans. The 9-year-old facility is in need of furniture and equipment updates. The closing date on the sale is on or before June 1st.
