Wednesday was the day that winter-weary Minnesotans have been looking forward to for several months as the temperatures in our state climbed into the 70s. It hit 72-degrees officially in New Ulm on Wednesday, the first time we’ve seen temps in the 70s since October 12th, almost exactly 6-months ago. It was 72 that day as well. The warm weather continues today (THU), with highs in the 60s expected, and a Red Flag fire warning will again be in affect this afternoon due to strong winds and low humidity. Several local counties have now enacted burning bans as well. Contact your local county sheriff’s office for information on burning restrictions.
