Minimum Wage Deal Announced 08 Apr 14

House and Senate DFL leaders and key legislators on Monday announced an agreement to increase Minnesota’s minimum wage. The minimum wage would increase to $8 per-hour this year for businesses with sales of more than $500,000, and then up to $8.50 next year, and finally $9.50 an hour by 2016. Then beginning in 2018 all wages would be indexed to inflation, with increases taking place on January 1st and capped at 2.5%.
