Kraft Announces Coming Job Cuts 26 Apr 14

Kraft Foods announced on Friday that the company is eliminating its private trucking fleet, a move that will affect 285 jobs around the country, including 40 drivers in New Ulm. Kraft will be using contract and commercial carriers to handle its transportation needs when the switch is completed. The job cuts will affect New Ulm in early August, and will be completed nationwide by the end of the year. The eliminated workers will be offered severance pay based on years of service, subsidies for health insurance and outplacement assistance.
