Farm, ranch and pet supplier Miller Manufacturing has announced a $3-million expansion of its distribution center in Glencoe. The company expects to create 20 new jobs paying an average wage of $13 an hour within two years as well. The $3-million investment will involve property improvements at the company’s Glencoe facility, with $185,000 of that investment coming from the Department of Employment and Economic Development’s Minnesota Job Creation Fund. Miller Manufacturing was founded in 1941, and in 2005 the company consolidated 3 of its 5 facilities into a 290,000 square-foot manufacturing and distributing center in Glencoe. That facility was expanded again in 2011, and the business was named Glencoe’s manufacturing firm of the year in 2012.
