Felony Stalking Guilty Plea Deal 10 Apr 14

The trial of a Sherburn man accused of exposing himself to a neighbor while living in Madelia has been cancelled after plea deal being reached. 34-year-old Jason Mark Kennedy was charged with one count of indecent exposure and 2 counts of stalking, and pleaded guilty to a felony-level stalking charge. His trial, which was set to start on Friday was then cancelled. Kennedy allegedly dropped his pants in front of his female neighbor in Madelia last year and began fondling himself. The woman told police that Kennedy also began stalking her daily after that by constantly texting her, watching her through his window and coming outside anytime she was outside. Kennedy also apparently exposed himself at a woman’s home in La Salle last year as well. His sentencing on the felony stalking charge has been scheduled for April 29th.
