There has been another report of a suspicious man attempting to pick up a child in southern Minnesota, this time in Cottonwood County. The latest incident happened at just after 7:30pm Sunday in the City of Windom. Authorities say that an 8-year-old female was approached by an unknown man who told the girl her mother had sent him to pick her up. The child refused the ride. The man was reportedly driving an older gold-colored 4-door car with damage to the front driver’s side. The man was approximately 6-feet tall and heavyset, 20-years-old, with black hair in a Mohawk and a mustache, and was white with a tan or darker complexion. Similar incidents have been reported in New Ulm, Sleepy Eye, and Madelia recently, and parents are being reminded to talk to their kids about never accepting rides from strangers.
