The first day of testimony has wrapped up in the Willmar murder trial of 19-year-old Brok Junkermeier. He’s charged with first and second-degree murder for the July 2013 stabbing and strangulation death of 79-year-old Lila Warwick. Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Keith on Friday told the jury about blood found in Warwick’s garage and kitchen and that her computer was left on the US Bank website. A blank check was found on the kitchen floor and Warwick’s body was later found in the basement. Junkermeier and Warwick’s grandson, Robert, reportedly believed that the elderly woman had a large amount of money in her home. Robert Warwick’s trial has not yet been scheduled. Testimony resumes Monday morning in Junkermeier’s trial, and prosecutors say they have a video of him confessing to the killing they will be showing the jury.
