Reprieve For MNsure Deadline 26 Mar 14

Officials with Minnesota’s health insurance exchange say consumers who make a good faith effort to enroll for coverage by the 11:59pm March 31st deadline but run into problems and can’t complete the process will get a reprieve. MNsure chief Scott Leitz compares it to people who are still waiting in line when polls close on election day – they still get to vote. So those who are still “in line” when the enrollment deadline hits will still be able to get coverage and avoid the tax penalty. Nearly 137,000 people had signed up as of Tuesday.
