A New Ulm woman is facing multiple charges for a recent incident at the New Ulm Wal-Mart. Officers had been investigating a theft at the store when they spotted 21-year-old Megan Sue Hoffmann and 23-year-old Xavier Lee Heeder, and knew they both had active warrants for their arrests. Hoffmann was being taken into custody when she reportedly yelled for Heeder’s help and he ran at the officers and was tased. Hoffmann escaped, although she turned herself in the next day. She has been charged with fleeing a police officer and obstructing the legal process, and her bail is set at $150,000. She also faces burglary and theft of a motor vehicle charges for a previous incident. Heeder has also been charged with obstruction of the legal process and disorderly conduct, and his bail is also $150,000.
