Murder Of Mankato Native Trial 22 Mar 14

The roommate of a Mankato native who had been missing for nearly a month in Colorado before his body was found last June has been found guilty of 1st-degree murder. 49-year-old David Noren was last seen alive on May 19th of 2013 while living in suburban Denver. His body was found in the nearby mountains in early June, and a warrant was issued for the arrest of his roommate, 35-year-old Ryan Boyd Hicks. Authorities reportedly found evidence of foul play during a search of their residence. On Friday Hicks was found guilty on all counts, including 1st-degree murder, aggravated robbery, motor vehicle theft, five counts of identity theft, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. He was immediately sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
