Minnesota January Jobs Report 14 Mar 14

Our state’s unemployment rate held steady in January at 4.7%, and Minnesota employers added 600 jobs. State Job Analyst Steve Hine says that leisure and hospitality led all sectors in January with 3,000 new jobs. Job losses occurred in trade, transportation and utilities, which were down 3,200 positions, financial activities went down 1,200, information down 1,100 and construction down 900 jobs. February’s job numbers are due out in two weeks.
