A reception was held Thursday honoring the 2014 New Ulm Human Rights Award recipient, Ingrid Liedman. The award recognizes people, community organizations or businesses in New Ulm who have contributed significantly to the preservation and advancement of Human Rights. Liedman was a longtime New Ulm educator who was honored for her work with the Peace Corp and her involvement in hosting foreign exchange students, as well as emphasizing human rights with her students.
